I'm also guesting at Tanoshiicon up in Pennsylvania this Saturday, so for all you New England folk, keep an eye out for me! I'm running a smaller, travel size version of my booth, and I'm leading three panels. I'll have my schedule posted at the bottom of this journal entry.As far as the "Fairies" is concerned, I have officially started work on my Harmonix version of Stella from the Winx Club! I have about half of her tutu done, and I've started work on her wings! I'm waiting for the corset fabric and second half of the tutu fabric to ship to me, but once that's here, I'll be able to really start working on her! I don't have a specific convention that I'm debuting her at; I'm just happy to finally be at the skill level to make one of my dream costumes ^_^ Also, something to note about Stella, I've done some constructional changes to her as well as tinkered with the color scheme a bit. I look absolutely horrid in pale yellow, so I'm using orange and pink as her primary colors. Also on the wings, I'm using ombra chiffon to make them have the faded gradient look they have in the show. I'm also going to be bedazzling the crap out of the whole ensemble, because if I'm going to be a fairy princess, by God, I'm going to sparkle like one!
My print and costume shop is OPEN again! I'm opening it for my birthday, and I also have sales going on! For prints, if you buy an 8x10" or larger print, you get one free mini print of your choosing; just tell me which one you want in the checkout process. I also decreased the prices of several prints, since it will be their last runs! I also have some costumes for sale, and I'll be adding superhero masks as well in the next week or so. Prints are one of the ways that I fund making costumes, other than doing costume commissions. Since I'm still a stay at home mother, I'm very restricted with how many commissions I'm able to make a year, and because of that, I have to limit how many personal costumes I make and how many conventions I go to. Print sales and selling cosplay accessories and costumes really helps me be able to travel to cons outside my local area
